Auld Lang Syne

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And auld lang syne!

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne.
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

As the year comes to a close, I am once again reminded how lucky I am.  The past 4 months have been a roller coaster, but I think I'm right where I'm supposed to be.  I'm blessed with a loving family, wonderful friends and unbelievable customers.

From the moment I thought about opening Wicked Soaps, I was terrified.  Was I really going to be able to do this?  Could I actually do this on my own?  But the deciding factor was, I just couldn't see myself walking away from something I love.  And I love Etsy.  I love creating.  I love soap.  As strange as it sounds, soap is my passion.   There's only one thing I love more than making soap, and that's hearing how much my customers love my creations.  The fact that people are willing to pay for my creations is amazing.  The fact that they love my creations renews my passion.  I admit it...soaping is like heroin...and you guys are feeding my habit!

I never thought I'd be here...less than 2 months into my brand new shop, and sitting at over 300 sales.  Thank you for letting me do what I love.  Thank you for loving what I do.  Best wishes to all of my lovely friends.  May the new year be bright for you.

Year End Sale....What a Wicked Holiday Season!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays! I hope everyone is enjoying their Christmas morning. My kiddo and I are watching Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith...one of his gifts from Santa. Yep, my little guy is a huge Star Wars geek and I love him for it! He made out like a bandit this year....a PS2, 2 new games for it, an iPod already full of music, and of course his Star Wars DVDs, just to name a few.

I can't tell you how wonderful this Holiday Season has been for me. In the 50 days since Wicked Soaps opened (well, 46 really, since I didn't start listing items until Nov. 9th), we've had 281 sales...that's an average of over 6 sales a day. Unbelievable for a brand new shop. In my wildest dreams, I didn't imagine success like this so soon. I can't even begin to thank all of my customers.

In honor of such a freaking awesome opening holiday season, I've decided to have a Year End Sale. Everything in the shop is marked down 25% (except Gift Sets, which are marked down 15%) December 25-December 31! No waiting for Paypal refunds or revised invoices, no need to enter any sale code, just shop and go!

12 Days of Christmas

On the 6th day of Christmas, my true love bought for me, 6 body oils, fiiiiiiiiiiiiive Naaaaaaked Sooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaps, four body butters, three scrub cubes, two perfume oils and a stocking full of Wicked Goodness!

Haha...I'm not a composer or song-writer, so please don't shoot me for that. The truth of the matter is, I'm late making this blog post, it should have been done 6 days ago when we still had 12 days left. I suppose my tardiness is to your benefit, though...you only had to sit through my rendition of 6 days of Christmas versus 12 ;-)

Ahem, back to the matter at hand. Wicked Soaps is running a spectacular, fantastic, wonderful (you get the idea) 12 Days of Christmas Sale! Through Friday, December 18th, take 15% off your entire order at www.WickedSoaps.etsy.com. No code needed. If you make a purchase, I automatically refund you 15% of your purchase price (you know the drill...it doesn't include shipping costs).

You can either pay and receive the refund or you can convo me and let me know you would like a revised invoice prior to paying. I'm pretty easy! Either works for me!

It's been a while since I last blogged and in that time I've added many new scents and products to Wicked Soaps!
